That’s the advice of page designer Torry Scott in the new book Ask the Masters: Scrapbook Solutions from the Memory Makers Masters that we have in the store now. “I take off my bra. Seriously,” Scott says in a question-and-answer section with major Memory Makers designers. “I truly believe my bra cuts off the creative flow of energy at my solar plexus, thus preventing it from reaching my hands. So OFF IT COMES!” Alrighty then – you heard Ms. Scott. You all have permission to scrap braless. I think we should try it at the store on our Friday and Saturday after hours “crop-til- you-drop” sessions. Might give new meaning to the name of the sessions! The rest of the book is just as sassy and informative, with each double page spread addressing a down-to-earth question and offering up some practical advice in both words and pictures of layouts. Among my favorites were, “I want to infuse my marriage – I mean my wedding pages – with pizzazz. Got any ideas?” and “I have discovered that life truly is all about me, so what are some creative wasy to scrapbook about myself?” You’ll have to drop by the store and look through the book to find the answers. By the way – we sell the book for less than the $22.99 cover price and amazon.com price!
Now look – last Saturday we took Torry’s advice at “crop til you drop.” AND IT DID FREE UP THE CREATIVITY. At least for Pam, on the right.
